The RevSpin Microcentrifuge with Imbalance Detection System is the only microcentrifuge equipped with multiple speeds, digital timer and electronic imbalance detection system for under $1,000 retail. The RS-200 has 11 speed ranges from 1,000 RPM (500 RCF) to 11,000 RPM (7,711 RCF) and includes a pulse feature for short spins.
The imbalance detection system instantly cuts power to the motor to prevent damage. An automated switching circuit allows operation from 100-230 VAC. It includes a pulse feature for short spins The high capacity 16-position rotor receives 1.5 or 2.0 ml tubes. Optional 0.2ml strip rotors are also available.
Easy to read graphics indicate RPM or RCF. The easy load rotor allows the vertical loading of tubes while it spins at a 45 degree position. The over-sized soft rubber base absorbs vibration, reduces noise and resists tipping. An over-sized 8mm shaft will not bend from abuse or imbalance. The unit has a rapid slow down, from 10,000 RPM to zero in approximately 20 seconds.
