Purifier Class I and HEPA-Filtered Safety Enclosures

Labconco Purifier Class I and HEPA-Filtered Safety Enclosures have set the industry standard for protection against agents requiring Biosafety Level 1, 2, or 3 containment. Choose from two types:

Purifier Class I safety enclosures protect the user from agents that require biosafety containment but no product protection. These enclosures include 254 nm UV germicidal lamp for surface disinfection. The UV lamp is turned on only while the enclosure is unattended to avoid personnel exposure to UV rays.

Purifier HEPA-filtered safety enclosures do not include a UV light. They protect against hazardous chemical powders, dust and allergens down to 0.3 µ for diverse applications such as blending dry chemicals.

Both types of cabinets feature an ergonomic air foil with aerodynamic Clean-Sweep™ airflow openings that allow air to sweep the work surface for maximum containment. The airflow openings pull inflow air from under the air foil so that clean air continually flows over the air foil, creating a constant barrier of protection from contaminants. A speed control on the front of the unit sets the airflow. A minihelic pressure gauge monitors filter conditions.

Units have a durable, epoxy-coated aluminum and steel construction with 1/4" thick tempered safety glass front sash and sides. The ergonomic 10° angled and hinged sash pivots upward, locks to a loading height of 20" and has side wiping seals to contain contaminants. Enclosures are compliant with ETL and ETL-C listings, NSF 49 Personnel Protection Test, Particulate Containment Test, and ASHRAE 110-1995 standards. One-year warranty on parts and service.

An optional built-in Guardian™ airflow monitor alerts when face velocities exceed the preset range, indicating HEPA filter loading or blower malfunction.

An optional exhaust connection adapter (several size – see ordering info below) can be added to the system to duct materials that have been treated with toxic chemicals or radionuclides outside to Optional Remote Blower EF9152J.

Work surfaces are solid-black epoxy, chemically resistant, and contoured to contain spills. 

Telescoping base stands are epoxy-coated steel and are height adjustable in 1" increments to provide a working height 30 to 36".
