Orion Star A Benchtop Meters
Thermo Scientific Orion Star A Benchtop Meters come in two models and a variety of parameter configurations to meet the needs of virtually any lab. Units feature an attractive black housing with an easy-to-clean surface
and IP52 splash rating. Meters can be wall-mounted if space is tight. Choose from two types:
A100 Series meters (A112, A113) are highly accurate, yet simple to use – perfect for the small industrial lab where regulatory compliance is not an issue. A large LCD displays readings; icons indicate remaining battery life, electrode status, and calibration information. On-screen help messages walk the user through calibration and set-up. All units feature AUTO-READ technology that indicates when readings are locked in and stable. The non-volatile memory holds up to 50 data points.
A200 Series meters (A212, A213, A214, A215, A216) provide added features and support for GLP/GMP reporting. In addition to the features found in the A100 Series, these meters include an expanded RDO range and multi-language support. The non-volatile memory holds up to 2000 data points with time and date stamp. Both USB and RS232 ports provide for data download. Units include support software for several data functions including stability and averaging. Parameters and instructions are easy to read via a backlit LCD.
Meters are available with a variety of test parameters:
Meters with pH measurement include an electrode arm and an ergonomically-designed probe holder that make it easier to maintain and place probes into samples. Calibration is automatic for USA/NIST and DIN buffers (3-point calibration for A100 Series meters; 5-point calibration for A200 Series meters).
Meters with conductivity include readings for conductivity/TDS, temperature (in ºC or ºF), meter mode and power source. Meters include both a selectable cell constant and reading reference temperature (A100 series at 20ºC or 25ºC; A200 series at 5º, 10º, 15º, 20º or 25ºC) to ensure accurate results. A200 Series meters include a choice of practical salinity or natural sea water curves for salinity readings, plus linear or ISO/EN 27888 curves for TDS.
Meters with dissolved oxygen include DO reading in mg/L or % saturation, temperature (in ºC or ºF), meter mode, and power source. Automatic temperature, manual salinity input, and manual barometric pressure compensation (automatic compensation on A200) ensures an accurate result. A100 Series meters have two calibration options: water-saturated air method or a Winkler titration; A200 Series meters can be calibrated using water-saturated, air, air-saturated water, Winkler titration or zero-point calibration. These meters can also be used with AUTO-STIR polarographic DO probes for faster readings.
pH electrode input is BNC; ATC probe input is 8-pin mini DIN. All meters include an electrode stand (meter-base version) with new electrode head and a universal 100-240 VAC AC adapter. Meters can also be powered by four AA batteries (not included).
