Costar Transwell Permeable Supports
Corning® Costar Transwell Permeable Supports are convenient, easy-to-use permeable support devices for the study of both anchorage-dependent and anchorage-independent cell lines. Polarized cells feed basolaterally allowing them to carry out metabolic activities naturally. A unique, patented self-centered hanging design prevents medium wicking between insert and outer well; and allows for undamaged co-culturing of cells in the lower compartment. Easily access lower compartment through windows in the insert wall. Polycarbonate membranes must be stained for cell visibility; PET membranes offer excellent visibility under phase contrast microscopes.
