Barnstead Heavy-Duty Muffle Furnace
The Thermo Scientific Barnstead Heavy-Duty Muffle Furnace is designed with safety in mind, made evident by the firebrick insulation surrounding the opening. With temperature capacity of up to 1200°C, these safety measures are necessary.
Additionally, the Thermocouple break protection cuts power to the heating elements, preventing a thermocouple failure runaway condition. If temperatures reach maximum capacity, an Adjustable Alarm or Over Temperature Protection System kicks in gear, protecting the furnace from overheating. An LED screen constantly updates the user with both the set point and actual furnace temperatures, programmed to the users specific conditions.
With a quick heat up and efficient and “Holdback” program to heat up or cool down sample at preferred specifications, the Thermolyne Benchtop Muffle Furnace is perfect for ashing inorganic or organic samples, heating steel parts, conducting gravimetric analysis, and determining volatile solids.
