S & S TurboBlotter Rapid Downward Transfer System - Turboblotter System Nytran Membrane
The GE Whatman S & S TurboBlotter Rapid Downward Transfer System - Turboblotter System Nytran Membrane is for high-resolution transfer of Alkaline DNA and RNA. Alkaline DNA transfers can be performed in just one hour, making the TurboBlotter™ System an efficient and speedy transferring system that offers better convenience and target resolution compared to traditional blotting procedures.
The conventional Northern/Southern transfer stack is turned upside down to take advantage of gravity. This eliminates heavy weights on top of the transfer stack, and gets rid of the messy set-up of standard upward capillary transfers. Neutral (SSC) transfers in three hours. It is compact and economical, possessing a smaller footprint than most homemade devices. Up to five units can be stacked on top of each other. A reusable blotting device requires purchasing less buffer and blotting paper, with refill packs available.
TurboBlotter is offered in one size: the smaller model measuring at 12 x 16 cm, for gels from 7 x 8 cm to 11 x 14 cm.
