GE Whatman Prepleated Qualitative Circles: Grade 113V provide several major advantages over flat circles. There is a decrease in overall filtration time since more surface area is exposed, plus the normal slow down of filtration speed due to the loading of particulates is postponed. These circles maintain their flow rate because of the reduction in filter paper contact with the funnel side and the self-supporting shape of the filters themselves. Be assured that the prepleating does not significantly affect any of the technical data, and the same figures can be used for flat filter circles.
Filter circles are prepleated to save preparation time
Additional filter area allows an increase in total loading capacity
