Colorwave Educational Colorimeters

The Colorwave Educational Colorimeters are a simple, economical instrument suited as a teaching aid in a variety of classroom settings. A tungsten halogen lamp and robust design is able to withstand the rigors of a teaching environment. A large digital display with simple push-button controls gives students hands-on access to the fundamentals of spectroscopy and colorimetry. 

Readings can be displayed in either absorbance units or in % transmittance with a simple push of a button. The unit also comes standard with an integral kinetic mode for rates of reaction and other applications. If desired, automatic readings can be output every second to a PC, chart recorder or printer via a RS-232 or analog signal. 

Instrument includes 8 filters (440, 470, 490, 520, 550, 580, 590 and 680nm) held in a built-in filter wheel to help prevent filter lose or damage. Unit accepts 10 mm path length cuvettes or 16 mm diameter tubes. Order 10 mm /12 mm adapter set separately below. CE-certified.
