This microscope combined with a digital camera includes a 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser, and a rechargeable LED illumination system. Quality digital camera and included Motic Software can be used on both PC and Mac computers. Limited lifetime warranty. Microscope is 340 mm high.

Optics: Widefield 10x eyepiece with pointer; DIN standard 4x, 10x, and 40xR objectives for 40x, 100x, and 400x magnification; and 100xR oil immersion lens for 1000x magnification. All lenses are achromatic, parfocalled, parcentered, and color-coded. Four-hole objective turret with click-stops, and ball-bearing mounted for smooth, precise changes in magnification.

Mechanics: Rugged cast metal, gray enamel finish. Separate low-position coarse and fine focusing controls. Slip clutch prevents damage to focusing system. Safety rack stop prevents damage to slides and objective lenses. Stage measures 120 mm x 120 mm and moves up or down, eyepiece and body remain fixed. Viewing head is inclined 45°.

Illumination: LED illumination rated up to 100,000 hours life, with light output equal to a 20 W tungsten bulb. Recharge “AA” NiMH batteries up to 1000 times, with each 8 hour charge providing up to 50 hours of operation, totaling 40,000 to 50,000 hours of use from each set of 3 batteries. Included recharger shuts off when batteries are fully charged—eliminates overcharging and shortening battery life. Use microscope during recharging, or recharger can remain plugged-in for conventional use. Rheostat light intensity control with separate on/off switch.
