    The needle guard on this syringe has a protective sliding sleeve that pushes forward and locks in place for complete disposal of the syringe without recapping. The 10cc syringe with the shield locked in place can accept a 3cc to 10cc vacuum tube, to allow the transfer of blood into tube with shielded needle.
