Sub-Micro Cuvettes
For small sample volumes down to 50µl!
Quartz sub-micro cells retain the exterior dimensions of a standard cuvette (12.5 x 12.5 x 45 mm with a 10 mm path length) but can measure sample volumes from 160µl to 50µl over a wavelength range of 170 to 2700nm. The entrance to the sample compartment is hemispherical, designed without sharp corners to eliminate potential loss of sample due to capillary action. The sample is inserted into and retrieved from the cell by careful use of a pipette. The sample compartment in the cell optimizes the alignment of the sample for maximum sensitivity in the spectrophotometer. The correct “Z” dimension must be selected for the cell, depending on the type of spectrophotometer used.
