The built-in secondary filters reduce stray light and increase precision. Includes a student-proof positive safety stopper integrated with the wavelength dial to prevent damage to the monochromator and grating. Large digital display makes reading much easier, and analog interface allows users to collect data easily with an external analog device such as a strip chart recorder. The light source is a tungsten halogen lamp. Optical system is a single beam grating system, 1200 lines/mm. Wavelength accuracy is ±3 nm and repeatability is ±1 nm.
