These versatile units are easy enough to use in a classroom setting yet are equipped with the features of higher end professional spectrophotometers. These units offer absorbance, transmittance, and concentration modes with automatic zeroing and blanking.

The light source is a tungsten halogen lamp that can be easily replaced by the user. The optical system is a single beam grating system, 1200 lines/mm. Wavelength accuracy is ±2 nm for all units and repeatability is ±1 nm.

The large sample compartment can accommodate several optional types of cell holders. Each unit comes complete with a box of twelve, 10 mm test tube cuvettes, a 10mm cuvette adapter, and a dust cover. Model EF3216 also includes a pair of optical glass cuvettes and a universal test tube holder for 8 to 25 mm tubes. Dimensions are 16W x 12 1/5H x 7 1/10D".
