The SPECTRONIC 20 Genesys incorporates the latest technologies for more reliable results and easier operation. A sleek design houses up-to-date electronics and a grating-based, 1200 lines/mm optical system for improved performance. The tungsten-halogen lamp offers approximately 1000-hour lifetime. The 20 Genesys boasts a narrow 8 nm slit width with built-in filters that are automatically selected for a given wavelength. A large, easy-to-view 2-line, 20-character LCD readout displays data and on-line instructions. Clear messages indicate error conditions. The wavelength (a wide 325 to 1100 nm operating range) is conveniently selected using touch pad arrow keys. Simply select the mode of your choice using the A/T/C key. To run concentration– just follow the instructions on the display! If no standard is available, simply input the factor.
The flexible cuvette holder accommodates 10 mm square cuvettes, 10 mm test tubes, and SPECTRONIC 20, 1⁄2" test tubes. Optional holders are available for COD test tubes, 1-in test tubes, filters or lenses, and cylindrical or rectangular longpath cells up to 50 mm long for increased sensitivity.
Versatile data output is provided by a built-in, fully functional bi-directional RS-232C interface and built-in Centronics printer port.
