Digital Benchtop Refractometer
Internal heating and cooling provide the ultimate in digital accuracy!
Peltier technology eliminates the need for an external temperature bath. Any temperature value between 5.00 and 60.00°C can be entered as the target temperature. Both the sample and prism are heated or cooled to this temperature for a high resolution/accurate reading of either Refractive Index (nD) or Brix. 30 user defined scales are provided, for custom concentration levels of specific solutions.
Easy-to-use operation is as simple as placing the sample on the prism and pressing start. The results are displayed in a few seconds on the large LCD screen. No dials to turn or analog scales to read. The unit automatically calibrates with water and can be manually calibrated with a liquid standard if desired.
Additional features include measurement history to store up to the last 30 readings and user-defined tolerance levels and on-display graphing of results to monitor your readings. Unit also includes a centronics printer port (parallel) and a RS-232C computer port (serial) for external interfacing. A built-in clock displays date and time. Supplied with power cord, keyboard mask, plastic sampling spoons and instruction manual.
