Standard Abbe refractometer measures the refractive index of liquids and solids with a high degree of accuracy. Features digital thermometer (0 to 50°C±0.2°C), built-in light source (monochromatic, for easy reading) and high quality optics. Dual prism optics consist of main prism and frosted secondary prism, which adjusts for easy placement of samples on the main prism.

Temperature can be maintained by connection (with 6-7 mm ID tubing) with constant temperature bath through the four 9mm ports. Thermometer reads directly off the main prism.
