Numbered in sets from 1 to 50, single-sided pages are printed to show title, project number, book number, signature/date, and witness/date. Standard practice instructions are in the front of the book, along with four ruled pages for table of contents. A3904 has 100 non-removable pages with no duplicates.

Custom notebooks can be made with notebook number stamped on the spine of each book and impressed on each page, if desired. Company logo, department, project name or scientist name can be gold-stamped on the cover.
