The mixer mill was specifically designed for dry and wet grinding. This unit can handle a wide range of hard, medium-hard, soft, brittle, elastic and fibrous materials.

Grinding, mixing, and homogenization are carried out via the rapid shaking motion of the balls inside of jars with oval shaped interiors. This rapid movement against the sample, produces quick, efficient, and thorough sample pulverization.

Mill accepts approximately 8 mm initial particle size material. Volume range is 2 jars of 20 mL maximum and final particle sizes are possible down to less than 5 µm. The motor is rated at 80 Watts. Motor speed is can be set from 180 to 1800 rpm. An integral digital timer allows for 10 second to 99 minute operation. For safety, motor is protected against overloads. Motor will stop within 1 second of opening of the plexiglass shield.

Choose from a wide variety of balls and jars listed below and to the right. Use PTFE resin sets for chemically aggressive samples.
