Mechanics

Neo/Sci® Simple Machines Lab

Hands-on activities explore the concept of work, simple machines, and the relationships between force, work, and distance. Students use critical thinking skills to investigate man’s earliest use of machines such as pulleys, wheel and axle mechanisms, and levers. They also study the specific principles behind these simple machines as well as the mechanical advantages and efficiencies of each. Materials for 40 students.
