The Whirl-Pak Speci-Sponge® Bags are designed for environmental surface sampling of work areas, equipment, animal carcasses and any other place where testing for Listeria, Salmonella, E. coli and other foodborne pathogens, or anthrax is required.

The special sponge is free of bactericides and has been tested to be non-inhibitory. Sponge measures approximately 1 1/2 x 3 x 5/8" when wet and is sterilized inside a Whirl-Pak bag.

Speci-Sponge Bags are available with several convenient options with all the necessary components required to collect a sample. Save time and money by choosing the option that best matches your sampling needs.

A) Standard Speci-Sponge® Bags with sponge only. Use your preferred diluent or order DE neutralizing broth separately. This general purpose diluent moistens the sponge and neutralizes most sanitizers including quaternary ammoniums, phenolics, iodine, chlorine, mercurials, formaldehyde and glutaraldehyde. Bags are 2.5 mil thick. Pack of 100.

B) Pre-Moistened Speci-Sponge® Bags. Sterile sponge is moistened with neutralizing buffer and is ready to use. Sponge measures 1 1/2 x 3 x 5/8" thick and is used to collect bacteria samples from a work surface, equipment, animal carcasses, and other areas. Choose from version with or without single sterile polyethylene. Pack of 100.

C) Speci-Sponge® Bags with Sterile Gloves includes polyethylene gloves in a separate perforated pack. Bags are 2.5 mil thick. Pack of 100.
