AP Biology

AP Biology Kit, Lab 10: Physiology of the Circulatory System

Demonstrate the variations in human blood pressure and pulse under various conditions (reclining, standing, sitting, after exercise, etc.). Students will then compare their readings to an index of relative fitness. Students will then measure and compare Daphnia magna heartrate under various environmental conditions. Background information includes an in-depth look at the anatomy of various circulatory systems and the physiology of blood flow. Sphygmomanometer and stethoscope required for this activity are included in the Blood Pressure Monitor Kit below. Neo/Sci.
